Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how ScoutsIQ (“ScoutsIQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use scoutsiq.com and the ScoutsIQ publishing platform (the “Service”).

ScoutsIQ is an automated content publishing, orchestration, and media analytics platform. We use connected-platform data solely to authenticate and to upload authorized video content, and to show you metrics for that content.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to operate the Service:

  • OAuth tokens. Access tokens and refresh tokens issued by TikTok (and any other platform you connect), plus related account identifiers such as open ID, username, and display name.
  • Video metadata. Titles, captions, hashtags, file references, duration, publish status, platform media IDs, and scheduling timestamps for content you create or approve in ScoutsIQ.
  • Analytics metrics. Post-level performance figures returned by the destination platform for content published through the Service, such as views, likes, comments, shares, and similar engagement counts when available.
  • Operational data. Job status, error logs, and timestamps required to render, queue, publish, and troubleshoot your content.
  • Contact information. Your email address if you write to us, including messages sent to support@scoutsiq.com.

We do not collect payment card numbers, government ID documents, or precise device location. We do not scrape or store profiles of TikTok viewers who watch your videos.

3. How we use information

We use the information above solely for authenticating and uploading authorized video content, and for operating the related scheduling and analytics features you enable. Specifically, we use data to:

  • authenticate API requests to TikTok and other connected platforms using your OAuth tokens;
  • upload, schedule, and publish video that you have authorized;
  • track publish status and surface errors so operators can retry or correct a job;
  • retrieve and display analytics metrics for those authorized posts;
  • secure the Service, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.

We do not use TikTok OAuth tokens or TikTok-provided data to build advertising profiles, to contact your viewers, or for any purpose unrelated to providing the Service to you.

4. TikTok platform data

When you authorize ScoutsIQ through TikTok Login / OAuth, TikTok shares credentials and account information necessary for the Content Posting API (and related analytics scopes you approve). ScoutsIQ:

  • requests only the scopes required to publish authorized video and to read related post metrics;
  • uses those tokens only to call official TikTok APIs on your behalf;
  • does not post content until it has been approved in the Service’s publishing workflow;
  • does not sell TikTok data or share it with other advertisers or data brokers.

5. Sharing and processors

We do not sell your information. We do not share OAuth tokens, video metadata, or analytics metrics with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only with:

  • Infrastructure processors that host encrypted storage, compute, and media rendering, under contracts that limit use to providing the Service;
  • Destination platforms such as TikTok, when you instruct us to authenticate or upload content;
  • Authorities if we are required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of ScoutsIQ or others.

6. Data retention

OAuth tokens are retained only while a platform account remains connected to ScoutsIQ. When you disconnect an account, revoke application access, or request deletion, we delete stored tokens for that connection. Video metadata and analytics metrics are kept for as long as needed to operate your workspace, after which they are deleted or de-identified. Support emails are retained as needed to resolve your request and to meet legal obligations.

7. Security

Tokens are encrypted at rest and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is limited to operators who need it to run the Service. We do not publish tokens in client-side code, and we never sell or share tokens with unaffiliated third parties.

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your information, we will take appropriate steps to investigate and, where required, notify you.

8. Token revocation and your choices

You control ScoutsIQ’s access to TikTok (and other connected platforms). To revoke access:

  • Open the destination platform’s account settings and revoke ScoutsIQ from the list of authorized applications. On TikTok, this is typically under Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Authorized apps (labels may vary slightly by app version and region).
  • After revocation, TikTok will invalidate the grant. ScoutsIQ will no longer be able to authenticate or upload to that account, and we will delete the stored tokens for that connection.
  • You may also email support@scoutsiq.com to request deletion of stored tokens, video metadata, and analytics metrics associated with your account.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or to object to certain processing. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@scoutsiq.com and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and in other countries where our infrastructure providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home country. We use the Service only as described in this policy regardless of where processing occurs.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
